My former employer AOL, just launched a beta version of My AOL, a customizable portal that allows users to add RSS feeds. With so many web based RSS service providers out there (not mentioning Google's & Yahoos) one wonders what the future holds when at the same time Charlene Li of Forrester released a report saying that only 2% of all house hold are using RSS. Although like she points out, it does not at all take in account all the users who might be using RSS and don't know it (like through My Yahoo).
RSS – Schmar-ess-ss…I don’t know about you, but I am loosing track of all these service – the just keep mushrooming all over the place. Anyway, a lot of new things are cooking at AOL and it looks quite promising.
