Maxthon Fans: Kaiser Kuo - Red Herring

I just came back from a very cold Beijing and had the pleasure to meet up with an old Maxthon friend and fan - Kaiser Kuo, China Bureau Chief for Red Herring. Kaiser also co-founded China's first heavy metal band - Tang Dynasty and is still very active on the music scene with his new band, Spring and Autumn.

Kaiser talks about how his then 70-year old father introduced him to Maxthon, why he likes Maxthon and shows us his set up of Maxthon 2.0 Beta.

Perhaps some of you have noticed a significant speed improvement in Maxthon 2.0 Beta 1. If so, that is because it is empowered by Maxthon Smart Acceleration ("MSA:).

What is MSA and why do I need it?

For long time users have been waiting for Maxthon's rich features coupled Opera's speed. We have actively been researching on speed improvement and the latest MSA is the result of this, and consists of many optimizations based on general user habits, network transmission efficiency, browser cache mechanism and contents interpretation intelligence.

Currently MSA has two acceleration modes:

• Default acceleration mode (on by default) aims at trouble free browsing and uses a relatively conservative approach for good browsing speed without causing problem.
