Maxthon 2.0 Preview
I promised an announcement this week, and it's not this one but, I thought you'd like to know that we have released a preview of Maxthon 2.0 to our silver members (and up) in the Maxthon Forum as well as donating supporters. This is a very limited release intended only as a preview, which means that there are still many features missing as well as some bugs that needs to be taken care of before we make a beta release. Anyway, we thought you would like to know that the beta is on the way. I have posted some more screenshots on Flickr for the curious.
What is new in Maxthon 2.0? Well, we don't want to say too much right now but rather leave the cream to the beta release. However, you will discover a new slick and smooth interface, new toolbar placements, improved feeds support and editing, multiple user accounts with unique settings and much more. Most of all Maxthon 2.0 is a new build from scratch and is extremely customizable. Those of you lucky enough to be silver members and up or donating supporters, go to the forums beta channel, download the preview and start playing. For all the others, well you will have to enjoy the screenshots for the time being (it' pays off to be active in the forum or a donator ;).
The announcement? On Monday ;)

Love that vertical parallel browsing interface! (Can't wait to see what I can drag and drop across windows, vs. what I can already do with vertically-tiled windows in 1.5.) No big announcement yet, but I'm waiting with bated breath. Maybe I'll brew a pot of coffee and stay up unti we get more screenshots — a Maxthon sit-in ... . ;)

Its looks fairly good.. although I really hoping it hasn't lost features the current Maxthon has.
Also the RSS feed has changed a bit with the folders instead of the dropdown box.. I think I like dropdown box.. it keeps all those different selections out of the way, now if you've got a lot of different categories you're gonna have to do more scrolling. The feed manager looks good though.
Also the Sidebar has moved into the tab section, maybe that was IE7 thing, and like the rss feeds comment, I still prefere the current implementation where tabs still fill the that whole section and the side bar goes just underneath it.
Oh well just hope it comes out with more features that help the user have a better browsing experience... the vertical browsing doesn't do anything for me.
Any chance of getting on the beta? I'm a fan and a avid promoter of the current Maxthon browser.

Hi, I donated to maxthon twice and am a supporting member via the appreciation service but I have only just subscribed to your forum, so how do I get the rights to download the preview?
